HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09191995 - PC1 • PC. 1 through PC.4 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA DATE: September 19, 1995 MATTER OF RECORD SUBJECT: Public Comment The following persons spoke under the Public Comment Section of the Board Agenda for this day: PC. 1 Matt Trost, (Trost Moving) 1796 Dakota Lane, Concord, on local regulations relative to house moving activities on County roads. Mr. Trost was advised to write a letter to the Board defining the issue for proper listing on the Board Agenda. PC.2 Al Simmons, Black American Political Association of . California, on black children in foster care. PC. 3 Stacy Cade, Africal American Group Home Association, P. O. Box 1643 ,. E1 Cerrito, spoke of his desire to secure placements of youth in his group home and of the programs he provides to meet their needs. PC.4 Faye Myrette-Crosley, Roxanna House Group Home and African American Group Home Association, 1919 Mullens Drive, Richmond, on the inability of her Association to secure placements; particularly of black children, from the County's Social Service Department. Supervisor Smith advised that the placement of children in foster homes is on referral to the Family and Human Services Committee and that this matter will be on the Committee's Agenda for October 9, 1995. Supervisor Smith extended an invitation to those present to attend the October 9 meeting.
