HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09121995 - C75 TAE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on September 12, 1995 by the following vote: AYES: SUPERVISORS SMITH, DeSAUINIER, TORLAKSON and BISHOP NOES: NONE ABSENT: SUPERVISOR`=:ROGERS ABSTAIN: NONE In the Matter of an Administrative Fee ) for Direct Deposit Affecting Employees ) Represented by Teamsters Local 315 ) Resolution No. 95/397 It being the Board's policy that agreement be reached between the County and each separate Employee Organization on the imposition of a $5.00 per participating employee administrative fee to initiate the Direct Deposit Program for members of that organization; and The County having received a request from Teamsters Local 315 representing the East Diablo Fire Protection Unit on behalf of that Unit to participate in Direct Payroll Deposit and to accept the $5.00 administrative fee; NOW THEREFORE: The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors in its capacity as governing Board of the County of Contra Costa, and all districts of which it is the ex-officio governing Board RESOLVES THAT: The attached August 11 , 1995 request from Teamsters Local 315 on behalf of all employees in the East Diablo Fire Protection Unit to participate in the County's Direct Payroll Deposit Program and accept the associated $5.00 administrative fee IS APPROVED. Consistent with Board policy and direction from the Human Resources Benefit Division, the County has executed a separate written agreement with each of the employee organizations who request participation in the Direct Payroll Deposit program. The agreement verifies that employees who chose to have their monthly County paycheck deposited by the Auditor-Controller directly into a bank of the employee's choice will accept a one-time-only administrative charge of $5.00 for the service. Effective May 1 , 1995 the East Diablo Fire Protection Bargaining Unit represented by Teamsters Local 315 initiated their recently negotiated three-year contract with the East Diablo Fire District. As part of that agreement, the employees were made permanent and converted from an hourly to a monthly pay schedule. These employees now wish to avail themselves of the direct deposit service consistent with the other organizations.
