SUBJECT: Approval of Contract Change Order No. 9 for Ygnacio Valley Rd./Cowell Rd. Intersection
Improvements, Project No. 0662-6R4221-92, Concord area.
Specific Requests or Recommen ation s Background usti Hca ion
I. Recommended Action:
APPROVE Contract Change Order No. 9 in the approximate amount of $2,000.00, and
AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director to execute it in order to compensate the contractor, Oliver
de Silva (De Silva Gates) for additional work due to changes in design.
II. Financial Impact:
The Project Contingency Funds are sufficient to cover this change order. The project is funded
by Measure 'C' Funds (95%) and the City of Concord (5%).
III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
The cumulative total of Contract Change Orders Nos. 1 through 9 exceeds $25,000.00, requiring
Board Approval.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
Without approval the contractor will not receive payment for work required.
