THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
Adopted this Order on September 12 , 1995, by the following vote :
AYES : Supervisors Smith, DeSaulnier, Torlakson and Bishop
NOES : None
ABSENT: Supervisor Rogers
ABSTAIN: None
SUBJECT: Ordinance Introduced To Exclude The Labor Relations
Manager from the Merit System
The following ordinance which amends the Ordinance Code of
Contra Costa County as indicated having been introduced, the
Board by unanimous vote of the members present waives full
reading thereof and fixes September 26 , 1995 as the time for
adoption of same :
Section I : Section 33-5 . 307 of the County Ordinance Code is
amended to exclude the Labor Relations Manager to read:
33-5 . 307 . County Administrator. The following positions in
the county administrator' s office are excluded: county
administrator, chief assistant .county administrator, assistant
county administrator-finance, assistant county administrator,
assistant county administrator-director of human resources, and
labor relations manager. (Ord. 95- )

(Excluding the Labor Relations Manager from the Merit System)
The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors ordains as follows(omitting the parenthetical footnotes
from the official text of the enacted or amended provisions of the County Ordinance Code):
SECTION 1: Section 33-5.307 of the County Ordinance Code is amended to exclude the labor relations
manager to read:
33-5.307. CQUM Administrator. The following positions in the county administrator's
office are excluded:county administrator,chief assistant county administrator,assistant
county administrator-finance, assistant county administrator, assistant county
administrator-director of human resources,and labor relations manager. (Ord. 95-—)

SECTION Ii:EFFECTIVE This ordinance becomes effective 30 days after passage,and within
15 days of passage shall be published once with the names of the supervisors voting for and against it in
the ,a newspaper published in this County.
