RE: Arbolado Park Improvements: Request for
County Parkland Dedication Fees
Dear Supervisors:
The City of Walnut Creek respectfully request that the Board of Supervisors release to the City
$69,000 of County collected Parkland Dedication Fees designated for Walnut Creek in the area of
Arbolado Park(Arbolado Drive off Oak Grove Road).
Arbolado Park has been developed in phases over several years. This phase will finish up the
park. The final phase is estimated at $536,000. Other than the requested fund from the County,
funds will come from City Parkland Dedication Fees, City General Fund and a small State grant.
We hope to complete the Park by Spring of 1996.
We sincerely appreciate the cooperative attitude demonstrated by Randy Slusher of Community
Development. Thank you for considering this request.
Should you have any questions or need additional information, please contact Darrell Mortensen,
Public Services Director at 943-5850.
Sincerely,
NALD A. BLUBAUGH
