BACKGROUND: The Ad Hoc Committee on the County Library is sponsoring a meeting September 14, 1995 at 7:00 P.M. at the Acalanes High School Multi-Purpose room to discuss the financing and governance of the County Library as well as any other related issues. The Assistant County Librarian went ahead and submitted the application for the use of the multi-purpose room because the Board of Supervisors would not be meeting again until September 12, 1995 and the school needed the application back as soon as possible. Part of the application includes a fairly routine "hold harmless" provision. In view of the fact that the County is self-insured, we generally have the Board of Supervisors approve these applications. However, in view of the need to submit the application quickly, it is now necessary.for the Board of Supervisors to ratify staff's actions in applying for the use of the room.
