SUBJECT: APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Amendment of current Contract #21-
007-3 with Center For Applied Local Research
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve and Authorize the Director of Social Service or
designee to amend existing Contract #21-007-3 by adding
$2, 000 for a new amount of $32, 000, to provide for the
revision and completion of final Federal Agency (GASP)
program performance evaluation reports for the Living Free
Project.
FISCAL•
No county funds. This contract is funded 100% with Federal,
funding from Substance Abuse and Prevention Programs.
BACKGROUND;
The Living Free Project is a federal demonstration project
funded for five years by the Office of Substance Abuse and
Prevention Programs. Itis attempting to reduce foster
placements among drug-exposed infants and increase treatment
options for the parents of these children. This federally
funded project requires evaluation by an outside agent in
five areas: development of program, recruitment and
selection of participants, program description, program
participation and outcome and impact evaluation. This
contract provides that project evaluation.
