CONTRA COSTA CO.
Hon, Gayle Bishop, Chair
Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors
County Administration Building
651 Pine Street, Room 106
Martinez, CA 94553-1293
Dear Ms. Bishop,
Thank you for your letter on behalf of the Contra Costa County Board of
Supervisors supporting Assembly Bill 997 (Hauser). I am happy to say I agree
with you on this issue.
As the demand for affordable housing increases, the need for financial
assistance also increases. I will support this bill because I agree that the local
agencies deserve two-thirds of the housing bond allocations as opposed to the
lesser amount authorized by the California Debt Allocation Committee this year.
You will be pleased to know that this measure passed the Assembly on
Consent. It also unanimously passed the Senate Housing alid Land Use
Committee. It is currently in the Senate Appropriations Committee.
Again, thank you for your letter.
Sincerely,
Jro&& C',Q44
NICHOLAS C. PETRIS
