HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07251995 - SD7 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Resolution on July 25, 1995, by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Rogers, Smith, DeSaulnier, Torlakson, Bishop NOES: None ABSENT:None RESOLUTION NO. 95/ 344 (Government Code § 25350) SUBJECT: Consummate Purchase and Accept Grant Deed for the Ruth C. Powers Child Care Center, 2730 Maine Avenue, Richmond, California, and the Maritime Child Care Center, 1014 Florida Avenue, Richmond, California. The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County, RESOLVES THAT: This Board on June 20, 1995, passed Resolution of Intention No. 95/271 and Notice fixing July 25, 1995, at 9:45 A.M. in its Chambers, County Administration Building, 651 Pine Street, Martinez, California, as the time and place where it would meet to consum- mate the purchase of the real property described therein from the West Contra Costa Unified School District, said property being required for County Child Development Programs. Said Resolution was duly published in the West County Times in compliance with Govt. Code Section 6063. The Board hereby consummates said purchase and approves the Purchase Agree- ment dated July 25, 1995, between the West Contra Costa Unified School District, and the County for 2730 Maine Avenue, Richmond, California, and 1014 Florida Avenue, Richmond, California, and authorizes the General Services Director to sign the Purchase Agreement on behalf of the County. The County Auditor-Controller is hereby DIRECTED to issue a check in favor of Chicago Title, Escrows No. 76958 and 76970, for $309,000 for said property for payment to Grantors, upon their conveying to the County a Deed therefor. The County General Services Director is hereby authorized to ACCEPT said Deeds on behalf of the County and the Lease Management Division is ORDERED to have them recorded, together with a certified copy of this resolution. This Board hereby FINDS that this activity is not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Article 5, Section 15061(b) 3 of the CEQA Guidelines. This Board DIRECTS the Director of Community Development to file a Notice of Determination and a Certificate of Fee Exemption: De Minimis Impact Finding with the County Clerk, and DIRECTS the General Services Director to arrange for payment of the $25.00 handling fee to the County Clerk. The Ruth C. Powers Child Care Center, 2730 Maine Avenue, and the Maritime Child Care Center, 1014 Florida Avenue, both in Richmond, California. RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO PURCHASE REAL PROPERTY The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT: It intends to purchase from the West Contra Costa Unified School District for County Child Development Programs, the real property described in Exhibits "A" and "B" attached hereto, for $309,000.00, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Real Estate Purchase And Sale Agreement between the County of Contra Costa and the West Contra Costa Unified School District (WCCUSD), and approved by the WCCUSD on June 7, 1995, which is a fair and reasonable price therefor. A copy of said agreement is on file in the General Services Department. It has been determined that this activity is not subject to the California Environmen- tal Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Article 5, Section 15061(b) 3 of the CEQA Guidelines. This Board will meet on July 25, 1995, at 9:45 a.m. in the Board's Chambers, County Administration Building, Martinez, California, to consummate this purchase and the Clerk of this Board is DIRECTED to publish the following notice in the West County Times pursuant to Government Code Section 6063.
