SUBJECT: Resignation of a member of the Human Relations Commission.
The Board received a letter dated August 9, 1994, from Barron T. Evans resigning from
the Human Relations Commission, effective August 11, 1994.
IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED THAT the resignation of Barron T. Evans is ACCEPTED
and the Clerk is DIRECTED to apply the Board's policy to fill the vacancy.

To Whom It May Concern:
Due to a professional opportunity offered to me which requires relocation
to Dallas later this month, I'll be unable to continue in my role as
Commissioner on the County's Human Relations Commission, effective
with the completion of our regularly-scheduled meeting on Wednesday,
August 10, 1994.
1 want to personally thank you and the Board of Supervisors for extending
me an invitation to be part of the newly-chartered Commission. Moreso, I
appreciate the opportunity to have participated with so esteemed a group,
and I feel assured that the Commission will successfully achieve its long-
term mission. Be assured that I will take the lessons and insights gained
through this experience with me, and I hope to affiliate with a similar
endeavor in my new environment.
