SUBJECT: Appoint the County Representative and Alternate to the East Contra Costa Regional Fee
and Financing Authority.
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) &BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. Recommended Action:
APPOINT the Supervisor from District 5 as County Representative and the Supervisor from
District 2 as alternate to the Board of Directors of the East Contra Costa Regional Fee and
Financing Authority.
II. Financial Impact:
There are no County general funds involved. The Authority is self-funded through development
fees.
III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
The County, as well as the cities of Pittsburg, Antioch and Brentwood, have formed the East
Contra Costa Regional Fee and Financing Authority. The Agreement that establishes the
Authority calls for a member of the Board of Supervisors to sit on the Board of Directors.
Alternate members are also required from each governing body.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
Failure to appoint will not meet the requirements of the Agreement and leave the County
unrepresented on the Authority Board of Directors.
