Gilbert st Director of General Services 251'_i - DATE: ounty August 9, 1994 SUBJECT: Agenda: August 16 , 1994 Amendment to Lease for 1305 Macdonald Avenue, Richmond SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION I . RECOMMENDATIONS Approve an Amendment to Lease with Knut Akseth and Libkra Investment Company to amend the lease dated June 3, 1980 for 1305 Macdonald Avenue, Richmond under terms and conditions, more particularly set forth in said amendment and authorize the Director of General Services to execute said Amendment to Lease on behalf of the County. II . FINANCIAL IMPACT None at the present time. This amendment will reduce County's lease cost over the long term. III . REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION OF BACKGROUND The Amendment to Lease will modify the purchase option provisions, reduce the purchase price, eliminate the requirement for six months written notice, and provide for the assignment of the purchase option to the Contra Costa County Public Facilities Corporation.
