HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10041983 - E.5 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on October 4, 1983 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Powers, McPeak, Torlakson, Schroder NOES: None ABSENT: Supervisor Fanden ABSTAIN: None SUBJECT: Appoint Ad Hoc Committee to Study Consolidation of Public Services in Discovery Bay. On October 39 1983, the Public Works Director responded in a memorandum to a Board referral of August 23, 1983, concerning the Hofmann Company suggestion that Reclamation District No. 800 assume the duties of County Sanitation District No. 19 which provides water and sewer service to Discovery Bay. The Public Works Director recommended appointing an ad hoc committee to make specific recom- mendations to the Board. IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the County Administrator is directed to convene an ad hoc committee consisting of Supervisor Torlakson and representatives of the County Administrator ' s Office, Public Works, (as Sanitation District No. 19 and Service Area M-8), Reclamation District No. 800, Discovery Bay Property Owners Association (Association Planning Committee), the Hofmann Company and LAFCO. IF IS FURTHER ORDERED that said committee is charged with reviewing the possible methods of consolidating public services and making specific recom- mendations to the Board for consolidation of public services by the first regular Board meeting in January 1984. 1 hereby certify that this Is a true and coned copy of an action taken and entered or,the minutes of the Board of Supervisors on the date shown.
