OLYMPIC BLVD. WIDENING PROJECT - WALNUT CREEK AREA

SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)& BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. Recommended Action:
A. ACCEPT from the estate of Eva V. Dewing a portion of Cottage Lane formerly
known as Railroad Avenue, dedicated for public use by recital on the map entitled
"Dewing Park Extension" filed December 20, 1916, in Book 15 of Maps at page
314 Official Records of said County, as described in the attached Exhibit "A".
B. DIRECT the Real Property Division to have a certified copy of this Board Order
recorded in the office of the County Recorder.

11. Financial Impact:
No costs involved.
III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
To give the County the necessary right of way for the Olympic Boulevard widening
project. This offer of dedication was obtained as a condition of approval for development
of plans to provide for road improvements.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
Negative action would require us to purchase the already dedicated right of way.

Cottage Lane formerly known as Railroad Avenue, dedicated for public use by recital on the map
entitled "Dewing Park Extension,,filed December 20, 1916 in Book 15 of Maps at page 314, Official
