THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA

SUBJECT: Ordinance Introduced Establishing Sunset Date For East
County and San Ramon Valley Regional Planning
Commissions .
The fo=llowing ordinances which amend the Ordinance Code of
Contra Costa County as indicated having been introduced, the
Board by unanimous vote of the members present waives full
reading thereof and fixes August 2 , 1994 as the time for adoption
of same :
SECTION I . Sections 26-2 . 1510 (as added by Ordinance No.
93-85) of the County Ordinance Code is amended to read as
follows :
26-2 . 1510 (a San Ramon Valley area. The San Ramon Valley
Regional Planning Commission is established and shall have seven
members and as its territorial area of jurisdiction all of the
unincorporated territory covered by the San Ramon Valley General
Plan adopted by the Board on May 24 , 1977, by Resolution No.
77/436, and future amendments thereto.
(b) This section 26-2 . 1510 shall be repealed and of no
further force and effect beginning on October 1, 1994 .
SECTION I . Sections 26-2 . 1512 (as added by Ordinance No.
93-85) of the County Ordinance Code is amended to read as
follows :
26-2 . 1512 (a) East County Regional Commission. The East
County Regional Planning Commission is established and shall have
seven members . The commission' s territorial area of jurisdiction
is all of the unincorporated territory located in the area
bounded on the north, east and south by the Contra Costa County
line and on the west by a line beginning at the most
northwesterly point of the Delta Diablo Sanitation District and
following the westerly border of that district and the extension
of that boundary line to the south to its intersection with the
Concord City limit line, following an northeasterly and then
southeasterly direction along the easternmost Concord City limit
and sphere of influence line to its intersection with the Clayton
sphere of influence line, following the line to its
northeasternmost point, and from that point to the southwest
corner of the Black Diamond Regional Reserve, following the
southern border of that reserve to its most southeastern corner,
and from that point due south to its intersection with the
easternmost boundary of the San Ramon Valley Area General Plan
and following that boundary in a southeasterly direction to its
intersection with the contra costa and Alameda County line . The
"East County Regional Planning Commission Boundary Description
Map, " which is on file with the Clerk of this Board, is adopted
by this reference and available for public inspection in the
Community Development Department .
(b) This section 26-2 . 1512 shall be repealed and of no
further force and effect beginning on October 1, 1994 .
During consideration of these ordinances, the Community
Development Director was requested to report to the Board of
Supervisors on August 2, 1994 with responses to concerns raised
during discussions on the Commissions .
IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the above Ordinances are
INTRODUCED, reading waived, and August 2 , 1994 is set as the time
for the adoption of same; and the Community Development Director
is REQUESTED to report to the Board of Supervisors on August 2 ,
1994 in response to concerns raised during discussions on the
Commissions .

(Sunset Repeal Date For San Ramon Valley
Regional Planning Commission)
The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors ordains as follows
(omitting the parenthetical footnotes from the official text from
the enacted or amended provisions of the County Ordinance Code) .
SECTION I . Sections 26-2 . 1510 (as added by Ordinance No . 93-85 )
of the County Ordinance Code is amended to read as follows :
26-2 . 1510 (a) San Ramon Valley area. The San Ramon Valley
regional planning commission is established and shall have seven
members and as its territorial area of jurisdiction all of the
unincorporated territory covered by the San Ramon Valley General
Plan adopted by the board on May 24 , 1977 , by Resolution No.
77/436 , and future amendments thereto.
(b) This section 26-2 . 1510 shall be repealed and of no
further force and effect beginning on October 1 , 1994 .

SECTION II . Concerning Ordinance Code section 26-2 . 1510, the

30 days after passage, and within 15 days of passage shall be
published once! with the names of the supervisors voting for and
