SUBJECT: Amend Resolution to-Abolish Certain Health Services Positions
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION(S):
ADOPT attached resolution to amend Resolution 93/514, attachment A, to abolish listed positions
effective November 30, 1993.
BACKGROUND/REASON(S) FOR RECOMMENDATION(S1:
The Board of Supervisors abolished the medical support personnel for the West County Jail as part
of the July 30, 1993 budget hearings. The Department believes it would be prudent not to
restructure the medical care program until it is known whether or not Proposition 172 will affect the
viability of the jail itself. The Department will still be responsible for maintaining its budget reduction
targets.
