This bill includes an .allocation of $200, 000 to the County for evaluating rail and bus transit solutions in Eastern Contra Costa County. These transit solutions are critical for areas like Eastern Contra Costa which are expected to accommodate large increases in population and jobs while meeting rigorous new state requirements to manage congestion and improve air quality. Please be aware that the Board of Supervisors unanimously agreed to request your support for Senate Bill 314. This bill includes an allocation of $200, 000 to the County for evaluating rail and bus transit solutions in Eastern Contra Costa County. As you know, such transit solutions are critical for areas like Eastern Contra Costa which are expected to accommodate large increases in population and jobs while meeting rigorous new state requirements to manage congestion and improve air quality.
