HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09141993 - H.3 H. 3 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on September 14 , 1993, by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Powers, Smith, Bishop, McPeak, and Torlakson NOES : None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None SUBJECT : Hearing On Rezoning Application 2920-RZ, Cerrito El Sobrante Development, E1 Sobrante Area This is the time heretofore noticed by the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors for hearing on the recommendation of the Contra Costa County Planning commission on the request by Cerrito-El Sobrante Development (applicant and owner) for approval to rezone a 16 . 8 + or - acre site from Single Family Residential District (R-7 ) to Single Family Residential District (R-6) (2920-RZ) in the El Sobrante area . Dennis Barry, Community Development Department, presented the staff report on the proposal . The public hearing was opened and the following persons presented testimony: Ann Danforth, Post Office Box V, Walnut Creek, representing Cerrito Development; Alan Kropp, 2140 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley; Cate Burkhart, 1108 Bissell, Richmond; Bob Sullivan, 3730 San Pablo Dam road, El Sobrante; Geraldine L . Knowles, 4030 Hillcrest Road, El Sobrante; Elaine Anthenien, 51 Quail Hill Lane, E1 Sobrante; Heidemane Harrison, 53 Quail Hill Lane, El Sobrante; Mike Eakin, 4060 Hillcrest Road, El Sobrante; Ann Danforth spoke in rebuttal . Supervisor Powers expressed concerns on issues and requested that the parties and staff meet to address them. The Board discussed the issues of concern including the soil stability, bonding, and the affordable housing trust fund. On recommendation of Supervisor Powers, IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the hearing on the above matter is CONTINUED to October 12, 1993, at 2 : 15 p.m. in the Board chambers .
