SUBJECT: INFORMAL BIDDING PROCEDURES ORDINANCE
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATIONS) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. Recommended Action:
INTRODUCE ordinance prescribing the process and procedures for obtaining informal bids
as required by the California Uniform Construction Cost Accounting Act of the Public
Contract Code, WAIVE reading, and FIX September 21, 1993 as date of adoption.
II. Financial Impact:
Reduces the cost of advertising projects.
III. Background:
This ordinance will prescribe the process and procedures for obtaining informal bids as
required by law for the County to become subject to the California Uniform Construction
