prepared and submitted (attached) a report on Committee activities
during 1992 . Highlights of MHAC activities during this period
include the following:
o MHAC met with resident representatives of six Contra Costa
County mobile home parks to discuss rent control
stabilization. Following this meeting, the MHAC presented a
recommendation to the Board of Supervisors that the Board
consider encouraging park owners to enter into long term lease
agreements with residents . The lease agreements should
include the method for determining rent increases throughout
the term of the lease. This approach will clarify the
financial responsibilities of park residents and help to
alleviate unanticipated and/or extraordinary rent increases
during the lease term.
o MHAC worked with residents and owners of the following Contra
Costa mobile home parks to help resolve issues concerning park
operations : Willows Mobilehome Park on Bethel Island; Sunny
Acres Mobilehome Park; Sun Valley Village; and Emerald Cove
Mobilehome Park. Continued to monitor conditions at Pacheco
Mobile Villa and Dallas Gardens Mobilehome Park.

an honor to have serve in the Chairmanship for this Committee for the past two (2)

master.
