ANDERSON DAY in ) RESOLUTION NO. 931486 Contra Costa County ) WHEREAS, William F. Anderson is being honored on August 6, 1993,for 50 years of exemplary service.to the Contra Costa Association of Realtors; and WHEREAS, William's career began in 1936; and after serving in World War 11, he joined his family's real estate firm, becoming President in 1947; and WHEREAS, William served as President of the Contra Costa Board of Realtors in 1948 and has been a Director of the California Association of Realtors since 1947. He was made a CAR Honorary President for Life in 1978; and WHEREAS, William is responsible for many successful commercial developments in the county. His expertise has brought us, to name just a few, the Livery & Mercantile in Danville, the Alamo Plaza, and the renovation of the Capri Building in Concord's Park n' Shop; and WHEREAS, William's contributions to the real estate industry stem from his co-founding the Multiple Listing Service, to residential sales, to commercial projects, all of which had a positive impact on the business community of Contra Costa County; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors wishes to acknowledge and commend William for his 50 years of service to the Contra Costa Association of Realtors and for his dedication to improving the quality of life in the county. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors declares August 6, 1993, as WILLIAM F. ANDERSON DAY in Contra Costa County. PASSED AND ADOPTED ON August 10, 1993, by a unanimous vote of the Board members present. I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of an order entered on the Minutes of said Board of Supervisors on the aforesaid date.
