Spooner, Contracts Administrator �`�S}a DATE: September 8, 1992 County SUBJECT: Approval of Novation Contract #24-602-5 with Seneca Residential and Day Treatment Center for Children SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION I. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve and authorize the Chair to execute on behalf of the County, Novation Contract #24-602-5 with Seneca Residential and Day Treatment Center for Children, in the amount of $165,000 for the period from July 1, 1992 through June 30, 1993 to provide intensive day treatment for County-referred minors. This contract includes a three-month automatic extension through September 30, 1993 , in the amount of $41, 250. II. FINANCIAL IMPACT: Funding for this Contract is included in the Health Services Department Budget for FY 1992-93 (Org. # 5952) and the source of funding is County/Realignment Funds, as follows: $ 91, 351 Shifted to this Contract from reductions in other Mental Health Contracts From new Regional 302f Mental Health Realignment Funds 73 , 649 being transferred by the State from Alameda County $ 165, 000 Total Contract Payment Limit for FY 92-93 III. The State Department of Mental Health has advised us that this clean-up legislation (which is needed to change each county's Mental Health Realignment Trust Fund revenue deposit amounts) is expected to be available in late 1992 . On March 10, your Board approved Novation Contract #24-602-3 (as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement #24-602-4) with Seneca Residential Day Treatment Center for Children. Approval of Novation Contract #24-602-5 will allow the Contractor to continue to provide intensive day treatment services for County-referred children through June 30, 1993 . GM:jp
