On July 14, 1992, the Board of Supervisors continued to this date the hearing on the appeal of Brentwood Farms (appellant) from the decision of the East County Regional Planning Commission acting as the Board of Appeals on the request by Alfred Courchesne (owner) to establish farmworkers quarters and firewood sales (LUP 2046-90) in the Brentwood area. Mary Fleming, Community Development Department, presented the staff report on the matter. Supervisor Torlakson commented on a memo to the Board of Supervisors from Matt Tomas, Senior Planner and staff to the Agricultural Task Force on Farm Worker Housing Issues, dated September 14, 1991 The following persons presented testimony: Rufino Tapia, P.O. Box 872, Brentwood, representing Brentwood Farm; Alfred Courchesne, P.O. Box 872, Brentwood, applicant. Supervisor Torlakson moved to set the matter for decision in four weeks to enable him to visit the location and confer on the issues with the Public Works Department, and resolve issues including the sign, wood, and mobile home requirements and health issues and he also moved to close the hearing. IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the hearing on the above matter is CLOSED; and decision on the above matter is DEFERRED to October 13, 1992 at 10:45 a.m. I hereby certify that this is a true and correct copy of an action taken and entered on the minutes of the Board of Supervisors on the Cc: Community Development Department date shown.
