The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County Resolves That:
This board by its Resolution No. 92/547 , elated August 4 , 1992,
proposed the consideration of whether certain services were extended
services for the purposes of the County Service Area Law and whether they
should be approved as additional types of extended services which could be
provided within County Service Area No . P-1 . After giving notice of the
hearing as required by law and as specified by Resolution No . 92/547 a
public hearing on this matter was held on Tuesday, September 15, 1992, in
the Board of Supervisors ' Chambers . At the time of this hearing, the Board
heard any persons wishing to testify or protest . After hearing all persons
wishing to testify and receiving any protests, this Board closed the
hearing and after passing upon any protests made, found that any protests
filed did not constitute more than 50% of the registered voters or the
owners of one-half or more of the value of land and improvements within CSA
P-1 .
This Board further finds , determines and directs the following:
1 . That its proceedings , this hearing, and other actions taken
in accordance with Resolution No. 92/547 were and are valid and in
conformity with the requirements of Chapter 2 . 2 . (Govt . C. , §§ 25210 . 1ff . )
2 . That the services of library facilities and services are
hereby determined to be services that should be provided on an extended
basis within County Service Area CSA P-1 .
3 . That the services specified in paragraph 2 above are
specified additional types of extended services to be provided within CSA
P-1 in accordance with law and to the extent funding is available to
support the provision of said above-listed services . These services
proposed for CSA P-1 are not presently being generally provided to the same
extent on a countywide basis both within and without cities .
