$99,282.76. This is for work performed on Camino Tassajara in realigning the Bettencourt curve,

III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background cont:
One of the projects listed in the project report of the JEPA was the realignment of the curve on
Camino Tassajara along the frontage of the Bettencourt Ranch. Initially, the County was to
design and construct the realignment of Camino Tassajara. However, the developers felt they
could perform the improvement on a time line that would better suit the development of their
projects and proposed to perform the realignment of the road as part of their subdivision
development. The County concurred, and as a result, Dame Construction Company constructed
the realignment of the road, in addition to some major drainage facilities for the Flood Control
District, as part of their larger project. This large project represented segments that were funded
by Dame Construction Company, Standard Pacific Development Company, the Blackhawk
Equestrian Center, the County and the Flood Control District.
As part of the realignment of Camino Tassajara, the old sewer main had to be, relocated. This
work was funded by Standard Pacific Development Company. The reimbursement payment will
reimburse Standard Pacific Development Company for the sewer work necessary as part of the
JEPA funded project to realign the Bettencourt curve.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
Standard Pacific Development Company would not be paid for the work they have done for
Contra Costa County.
