Richmond Area
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
Contra Costa County acquired certain real property for the Richmond Corporation
Yard in 1954 and Work Furlough Center in 1974 in the Richmond area. A portion of the
property, described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, is required by
Contra Costa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District for the improvement of
San Pablo Creek. Said property is DETERMINED to be surplus and no longer necessary
for County purposes and County donates this property to the Contra Costa County Flood
Control and Water Conservation District in accordance with the finance plan adopted by the
Board of Supervisors in 1982 for San Pablo Creek drainage area.
The Board hereby FINDS that said real property is not required for any County use
and hereby APPROVES and AUTHORIZES the conveyance of said real property to Contra
Costa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District. The Board Chair is hereby
AUTHORIZED to execute a Grant Deed to the District on behalf of the County.
The Real Property Division is DIRECTED to cause the Grant Deed to be delivered to
the County.
This conveyance request is part of a larger project for which an Environmental Impact
Report was prepared by the Contra Costa County Flood Control and Water Conservation
District and certified as complete. This activity has been found to conform to the General
Plan of the County.
