HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07211992 - 1.6 46 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on July 21, 1992 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Powers, Fanden, Schroder, Torlakson and McPeak, NOES: None ABSENT: None TRAFFIC RESOLUTION NO. 3515 ABSTAIN: None Supervisorial District V SUBJECT: Speed Limits on TAYLOR ROAD (Road No. #8987B) The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors RESOLVES THAT: On the basis of an engineering and traffic survey and recommendations thereon by the County Public Works Department's Traffic Engineering Division and pursuant to the County Ordinance Code Chapter 46-2 (Sec. 46-2.002 ff.), this Board hereby determines that the present speed limit(s) established on the below-described road, a street within the criteria of Vehicle Code Section 22358 is(are) more than reasonable and safe, and hereby determines and declares that the following speed limit(s) is(are) most appropriate, reasonable, and safe,prima facie speed limit(s) there: Pursuant to Section 22358 of the California Vehicle Code, no vehicle shall travel in excess 25 miles per hour on that portion of TAYLOR ROAD (#8987B), Bethel Island, beginning at the intersection of BETHEL ISLAND ROAD and extending north westerly to the end of the County maintained road, a distance of 2.50 miles. (Traffic Resolution #1508 pertaining to the existing 30 miles per hour speed limit on TAYLOR ROAD is hereby rescinded.)
