Ms. Paula Hines
EMS Director

Dear Ms. Hines:
East Qontra 4osta. Ambulanoe Service's proposal states that they would
have the following five stations operating throughout East County effective
immediately upon a,-^eptan^e of their proposal: .
1. 6 Leland Rd. Pittsburg
2. Riverview Fire Station #86 West Pittsburg
3. 1360 Fitzuren Rd Antio^h
4. Lauritzen's Ya-ht Harbor Antio,-h
5. Lone Tree Way Brentwood
As of this writing they have only one station in Antio^h located on 1360
Fitzuren Rd. This area is residential and per -ity r-ode they are not allowed
to use this as a station, even though they are doing so. This location is
very inadequate to serve as an ambulan,-e station as there is not am.-ess to
.the freeway heading; East bound. Both the "G" & "L" Street ramps offer no East
bound a—ess.
There is not a station at Lauritzen's Ya,-ht Harbor. We have ontamted the
owner, Chris Lauritzen, and he states there is not an ambulance at the lomation.
There also is no ambulan,-e stationed at the Riverview Fire Station #86 in
West Pittsburg as proposed, to serve the residents of West Pittsburg, Shore
Acres & Bella Vista.
When a proposal is submitted and a^-epted, per Dan Bergman, he stated he
would make sure everything in the proposal would be followed explicitly. Why
then has nothing been done regarding this situation, whir-h has resulted in fewer
to^ations than promised, extremely poor ^hoi,-e of ambulance stations, and the
proposal not being; followed as per stated?
Cordially yours,
ANTIOCH AMBULAME SERVICE, IW.
