SUBJECT: Conveyance of Easement to State of California
Former Southern Pacific Right of Way
Project No. 4585-6G5575
Walnut Creek Area
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
Contra Costa County acquired certain real property by deed recorded on
December 9, 1985, in Book 12652 of Official Records at page 570, in the Walnut Creek
area, for public transportation purposes. The State of California has requested an
easement over a portion of said property, described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, for a
bridge widening for the Rudgear Road undercrossing, as part of the 1-680/Highway 24
improvement project. This Board FINDS that the conveyance of such easement is in the
public interest and will not substantially conflict or interfere with the County's use of the
property.
This Board hereby APPROVES and AUTHORIZES the conveyance of an
easement to State of California, over the property described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto, pursuant to Government Code Section 25526.6, and the Board Chair is hereby
AUTHORIZED to execute a Grant of Easement on behalf of the County. The State is to
pay the County $270.00 as consideration for this easement and the easement conveyed
by the County on August 6, 1991
The Real Property Division is DIRECTED to cause said Grant of Easement to be
delivered to the grantee.

Exhibit "A"
A portion of that strip of land 100 feet wide, as said strip of land was conveyed to Contra
Costa County, a political subdivision of the State of California, by deed recorded
December 9, 1985, Book 12652, page 570, Official Records of Contra Costa County,
described as follows:
COMMENCING at a point on the southeasterly line of said strip of land, said point being
the most southerly corner of PARCEL 2 as said PARCEL 2 is described in an indenture
between the Southern Pacific Company and the State of California, recorded May 21,
1962, in Volume 4123, page 137, Official Records of Contra Costa County; thence along
said southeasterly line from a tangent that bears S. 360 12' 36" W., along a curve to the
right with a radius of 1323.22 feet, through an angle of 00 41' 02", an arc length of 15.79
feet to a point of compound curvature; thence continuing along said southeasterly line
from a tangent that bears S. 36" 53' 38" W., along a curve to the right with a radius of
1482.36 feet, through an angle of 0"05' 33", an arc length of 2.39 feet to the northwesterly
terminus of the course described as "S. 260 50' 22" E., 35.34 feet" in the Director's Deed
to the East Bay Municipal Utility District recorded January 5, 1968, in Volume 5530, page
93, Official Records of Contra Costa County; thence along the northwesterly prolongation
of last said course with the length of 35.34 feet N. 260 50' 22" W., 112.55 feet to the
northwesterly line of said strip of land; thence along last said northwesterly line, from a
tangent that bears N. 340 34' 16" E., along a curve to the left with a radius of 1095.92 feet,
through an angle of 00 58' 23" an arc length of 18.61 feet to the southwesterly line of said
PARCEL 2; thence along last said line S. 26" 50' 22" E., 113.46 feet to the point of
commencement.
CONTAINING 1838 square feet, more or less.
This conveyance is made for the purposes of a freeway and the grantor hereby releases
and relinquishes, to the grantee any and all abutter's rights, including access rights,
appurtenant to grantor's remaining property, in and to said freeway.
The bearings and distances used in the above description are on the California
Coordinate System of 1927, Zone 3. Multiply the above distances by 1.0000752 to obtain
ground level distances.
