the State of California will demonstrate their commitment to a
drug-free society by wearing and displaying red ribbons during
this week; and
WHEREAS, the County of Contra Costa, Board of Supervisors,
encourage all county citizens to support and be involved in

elements of the community to solve the problem - truly a
community-wide War on Drugs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Contra Costa does hereby support the Red Ribbon
campaign, and the proclamation of October 20-27, 1991 as "Red

citizens to participate in drug and alcohol abuse awareness
activities, to make a personal commitment to live a healthy life,
and to make every week "Red Ribbon Week."
