SUBJECT: Appointment to the Advisory Council on Aging
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION:
Appoint to the Advisory Council on Aging to fill existing scheduled vacancies in the
At-Large category, the following:
Replacing Sandra Hardy for a term expiring September 30, 1985:
Robert Olney
400 Cumberland Drive
Pleasant Hill , CA 94523
Replacing Norma Crevey for a term expiring September 30, 1985:
William Burns
86 Grandview Place
Walnut Creek, CA 94595
Replacing Marie Perez for a term expiring September 30, 1984:
Edwin A. Miller
339 Parker Avenue
Rodeo, CA 94572
BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The Advisory Council on Aging recommends the appointment of the above three (3) persons
to fill the scheduled vacancies on the Council . Sandra Hardy and Norma Crevey were not
interested in reappointment (their terms expired 9/30/83), and Marie Perez was not eligible
for reappointment. The Advisory Council 's Nominating Committee reviewed and screened four
(4) applications of persons interested in becoming members-at-large and has recommended
Robert Olney, William Burns and Edwin Miller to fill the at-large seats. Our Committee
has reviewed the applications and concurs with the recommendations made above.
