Subject: AMBULATORY CARE CLINIC Personnel Services Assistant COORDINATOR Attached is a draft class specification and P-300 to create the class of Ambulatory Care Clinic Coordinator and to reallocate the individuals performing these duties, (Clerical Supervisors Joyce Stripe, Pat Davis. and Linda Eekhof) into the new class. The following background elaborates. The Ambulatory Care Administrator has full administrative responsibility for the multi-site clinic system which is. geographically wide-spread. Presently there are no on=site managers to fill this void. The Clerical Supervisor at each site, or cluster of sites, has gradually assumed the day-to-day duties of clinic administration. The role of the incumbents has evolved more into that of a unit-coordinator and away from that of a direct supervisor. The Clerical Supervisors have been acting in the expanded function. for well over 6 months now. In recognition of the increased responsibilities and the restructuring of the hospital and clinics, this department is recommending a reclassification with a salary level of C5-1658. ' The cost of .this package which will be $654 per month was anticipated in planning the budget for FY-90/91. If you need further information, please do not hesitate to call me on ext. 4157.
