Bragdon �� rnhi Director of Community Development �-+� ��Y DATE: August 22, 1990 SUBJECT: Hearing on Rezoning Application 12888-RZ to rezone 1.5 acres of land from General Agricultural District (A-2) to Single Family Residential ; District (R-7) , fronting for 148 feet on the north side of Laurel Road, approximately 1,800 feet east of Empire Avenue, in the Oakley area, filed by Ernest Luna (Applicant) and Raymond and Virginia Luna (Owners) (APN 035-040-009) SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATIONS(S) BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION. RECOMMENDATIONS 1. Accept the environmental documentation prepared for this project as being adequate. 2. Approve Rezoning Application 02888-RZ as recommended by the East County Regional Planning Commission. 3. Adopt the East County Regional Planning Commission's findings as set forth in Resolution No. 43-1990, as the determination for these actions. 4. Introduce the ordinance giving effect to the aforesaid rezoning, waive reading and set forth date for adoption of same. CONTINUED ON ATTAC CE T: YES SIGNATU RECOMMENDATION OF COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR RECOMMENDAk& OF COMMIZTE APPROVE OTHER SIGNATURE(S) : ACTION OF BOARD ON September. -1-8 . 1990 APPROVED AS RECOMMENDED x OTHER _ This is the time heretofore noticed by the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors for hearing on the recommendation of the East County Regional Planning Commission on the request by Ernest Luna (applicant) and Raymond and Virginia Luna (owners) to rezone 1. 5 acres of land from General Agricultural District (A-2) to Single Family Residential (R-7) ( 2888-RZ) in the Oakley area. Mary Fleming, Community Development Department, presented the staff report on the request before the Board, advising of the General Plan designation for the site and conformance of the proposal to the General Plan, the Negative Declaration completed for the project and the Planning Commission vote and she commented on the staff recommendation that the Board accept the environmental documentation as being adequate, approve Rezoning Application 2888-RZ, adopt the East County Regional Planning Commission' s findings and introduce the ordinance giving effect to the rezoning. The public hearing was opened and no one appearing to speak, the public hearing was closed. 1. On recommendation of Supervisor Torlakson, IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that recommendations 1, 2, 3 , and 4 are APPROVED; and as in recommendation 4, Ordinance No. 90-81 is INTRODUCED, reading waived, and September 25 , 1990 is set for adoption of same.
