SUBJECT: Approve Consulting Services Agreement with Geonex Cartwright Aerial Surveys, Inc. for
the Oakley Area.

SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) &BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. Recommended Action:
APPROVE consulting services agreement with Geonex Cartwright Aerial Surveys, Inc. for aerial
surveys of various roadways in the Oakley area and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director to . .
execute the agreement.
II. Financial Impact;
The agreement establishes a maximum cost of $46,198.00 to the Public Works Department
which is not to be exceeded without written approval by the Public Works Director and is to be
funded by the Oakley Area of Benefit funds (100%).
11.1. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
The services of a consultantare are required to provide aerial surveys in order to design road
alignments and profiles in a rapidly developing area of.the County. After review.of Statements
of Qualifications from four aerial surveying firms, an evaluation committee selected Geonex
Cartwright Aerial Surveys, Inc. to provide the services.
IV: Consequences of Negative Action:
Ifaerial surveys are not provided by consultant, the completion of final alignment plans will be
delayed.
