SUBJECT: Approving Sunset Lane Sewer Line Project

SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) &BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. Recommended Action:

APPROVE Project, and DETERMINE that the project is a CEQA Class 3 Categorical Exemption,
and
DIRECT the Public Works Director to prepare contract plans and specifications for construction.
DIRECT the Director of Community Development to file a Notice of Exemption with the County
Clerk.
II. Financial Impact:-
The estimated project cost is $26,400, funded by Sanitation District.No. 15 (100%).
111. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
The project is needed to provide sewage service to 60 and 70 Sunset Lane, Bethel Island, CA
as required by Resolution 89-419 adopted June 27; 1989.
The project has been determined to be in compliance with the General Plan and is exempt from
CEQA because it is a sewer extension of reasonable length to provide service to less than three
single family residents.
