Phil Batchelor, Clerk of the Board of Supervisors and County Administrator, advised that the Board had directed that he open the hearing and take testimony from those present who wished to make comment, and continue the hearing to September 11, 1990 at 11: 00 a.m. The hearing was opened and the following persons appeared and gave testimony: Keith Spooner, 4549 Pleasant Hill Road East, Martinez, representing the Council of Churches, spoke supporting retention of the chaplaincy services at Merrithew Memorial Hospital; Dr. Sarah Schafer, 2355 Stanwell Circle, Concord, commented on the Sexually Transmitted Disease Program (STD) and requested restoration of funding to the STD Program; Dr. Dario de Leon, no address given, commented on the Sexually Transmitted Disease Program (STD) and requested restoration of funds to the program. The hearing was then continued to September 11 , 1990 at 11: 00 a.m. THIS IS A MATTER FOR RECORD PURPOSES ONLY NO BOARD ACTION TAKEN
