SPARKS, DIRECTOR, COMMUNITY SERVICES Cooritra DEPARTMENT Costa DATE: July 20, 1990 Cay^ SUBJECT:APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT NUMBER THREE TO 1990 COMMUNITY SERVICES BLOCK GRANT CONTRACT BETWEEN THE COUNTY AND THE DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY (CONTRACT #90F-7707 ) SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION I. RECOMMENDED ACTION APPROVE Amendment Number Three to the 1990 Community Services Block Grant- Contract between the County and the Department of Economic Opportunity, and AUTHORIZE the Director, Community Services Department, or her designee, to sign contract documents on behalf of the County. II . FINANCIAL IMPACT N/A. Funds from this agreement are already reflected in the proposed 1990-91 Department budget. III . CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION Failure to approve this Amendment will result in the loss of these specific funds to the County. IV. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDED ACTION The Amendment increases the 1990 CSBG payment limit from $402 , 098 to $410 ,798 , an increase of $8 ,700. The Economic Opportunity Council reviewed and approved this Amendment on July 19, 1990 . This Contract is in the process of being reviewed and approved by County Counsel as to form. No County funds are involved with this request.
