HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12131983 - X.4 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on December 13, 1983 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Powers , Fanden, McPeak, Torlakson, Schroder NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None SUBJECT: Appointment of Public Members ) to serve on the Contra Costa ) Transportation Advisory ) Committee ) On December 8, 1983, the City and County representatives of the Contra Costa Transportation Advisory Committee (CCTAC) which were appointed by the Board on November 1, 1983, met and interviewed applicants to fill the four public member positions on the Committee. The applicants represented a varied cross section of geographical interests and experience. All were well-qualified to serve on a committee such as this. The Committee recommends that the Board appoint four individuals who represent the categories outlined in the resolution establishing the CCTAC, as follows: Peter Oswald, Sunset Development Company, representing business and labor; Eric Hasseltine, Hofmann Company, representing residential development; Ernestine De Falco, League of Women Voters, and Jack Tolley, East Bay BART Coalition, as the two at-large members. The appointment of these four people will provide a geographical distribution of three people representing East County, South Central , and North Central ; and two people representing West County. The Committee recommends that the next appointment to the Committee be from West County. IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the individuals recommended by the CCTAC be appointed to fill the four public member positions.
