IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
In the Matter of Commending )
the District Attorney )
Family Support Division ) RESOLUTION NO. 89/641
WHEREAS the District Attorney Family Support Division has submitted a report on
net operating revenues of that Division for fiscal years 1985-1986 through
1988-1989; and
WHEREAS the report shows an increase in the net return to the County from $59,897
in FY 1985-1986 to $373,788 in FY 1988-1989 and an increase in incentive revenues
from $1,210,898 in FY 1985-1986 to $1,815,902 in FY 1988-1989, despite reductions
in the federal reimbursement rate from 70% to 68%, for a current balance in the
Family Support Division Trust Fund of $722,490; and
WHEREAS the figures in the report reflect favorably on the operations of the
District Attorney Family Support Division and to the service it provides to the
citizens of our County; and
WHEREAS the Division is developing a plan for the use of these funds, including
the purchase of electronic data processing equipment, to meet the statutory
requirement that they be spent to further the child support enforcement program;
and
WHEREAS the increase in earned incentives results from the hard work of the Family
Support Division staff and the strong leadership of both District Attorney Gary T.
Yancey and L. Douglas Pipes, Director, Family Support Division;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA RESOLVED that it hereby COMMENDS the District Attorney and the Staff of
the District Attorney Family Support Division for their outstanding efforts in
serving the citizens of our County through a diligent child support enforcement
program.
PASSED by unanimous vote of the Board members present on this 26th day of
September, 1989.
