Appoint the following persons to the Contra Costa County Disaster Council as representatives of the communications, food, petroleum and utilities industries for terms ending . . December 31, 1990: 1 - Caryn A. Lombard, Pacific Bell 2 - Virginia DiCini, Safeway Stores . 3 - Arnie Dreier, Shell Oil 4 - Ed Stracke, Pacific Gas and Electric 2. Authorize the . Board Chairman to sign letters of appreciation to Kimberly Farls of Pacific Bell, Susana Lee of Pacific Gas & Electric , and Frank Sharit of Safeway Stores for their past service to the Disaster Council. BACKGROUND The Contra Costa County Disaster Council, established by ordinance code, serves as an advisory body to the County Administrator and County Emergency Services Director on emergency ' planning efforts throughout the county. The Council consists of twenty-eight specified members, three appointees representing a public utility, the petrochemical industry and the food industry and additional members as the Board may Apppoint from time to time. The two-year terms of office of the current four appointees have expired and it is necessary that the Board. make new appointments.
