Carl Reclassification of Two
Asst. County Probation Officer Clerk Positions
Two Senior Clerk positions in the Probation Department are assigned
to complete and process a variety of specialized placement forms and
documents. They process AFDC-FC documents relating to Court wards
in placement.
The Social Services Department has similar clerical positions. Last
year the positions in that department were reclassified because of
their unique nature, and the class of Children's Services Clerical
Specialist was created.
The two positions in the Probation Department are comparable, and
we, therefore, request that they be reclassified to Children' s
Services Clerical Specialists. We also request that the job
specifications be modified to provide for probation experience as
qualifying. Finally, we request that the incumbents be appointed
without examination.
