SUBJECT; AMENDMENT TO LEASE - 815 COURT STREET, MARTINEZ
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. RECOMMENDATION
AUTHORIZE the Director of General Services to EXECUTE, on
behalf of the County, an Amendment to Lease with the U. S.
Postal Service for the premises at 815 Court Street, Martinez,
for occupancy by the Sheriff-Coroner, under the terms and
conditions more particularly set forth in said Amendment.
II. FINANCIAL IMPACT
Payments required _ are to come from the budget of the
Sheriff-Coroner Department, Budget Unit 300.
III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS/BACKGROUND
The existing Lease, which expired July 31, 1989, had no
holdover provision. This Amendment to Lease will allow the
Work Alternative program to remain in the premises for one
more year. It has a cancellation clause requiring thirty days
notice.
