Bragdon clJm Director of Community Development DATE: July 27 , 1989 SUBJECT: General Plan Amendment Request by Dudley Frost Associates SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATIONS(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATIONS 1. Authorize a General Plan review as requested by Dudley Frost & Associates for approximately forty acres located on the north side of Camino Tassajara Road in the Danville area. 2. The granting authorization of this request does not imply any support for this application, but only that this item is appropriate for study. 3 . By authorizing this review, staff will proceed by preparing a report which will be scheduled for 'public hearing before the San Ramon Valley Regional Planning Commission. Following this, the Commission will forward its recommendations to the Board for public hearing. and final determination. FISCAL IMPACT The applicant shall pay an amendment fee to cover the County' s cost of this study. BACKGROUND/REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS A petition of property owners has been received requesting an amendment to the land use element of the San Ramon Valley Area General Plan from Single Family Residential Very Low Density to Single Family Residential Low Density. Staff had originally recommended this change as part of the Camino Tassajara &al Plan Amendment and such a change was evaluated in the E project. Town of Danville BY �,/�� DEPUTY JCW:cg cjc2/frstgpa.bos Little support was received for this change at that time and the SRVRPC recommended to leave the plan as Single Family Residential Very Low Density. The Board sustained their recommendation. Since then new construction has surrounded the area and the property owners now wish to proceed with a Single Family Residential Low Density designation using the already approved Camino Tassajara EIR. The request does not include all the area (east of Myrack Road) that was in staffs original recommendation for change.
