III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND (cont)
The study has identified five projects that appear to have
sufficient merit to warrant Corps of Engineers' involvement.
These projects are:
1. Grayson Creek-East Fork, East Branch
2 . Murderer's Creek
3 . Tice Creek
4 . San Ramon Creek-Chaney Road to Livorna Road
5. Green Valley Creek-Upstream of I-680 to Diablo Road
The study agreement specifies the scope of work to be performed
and the financial responsibility of each party. The District's
cash responsibility is for $192 , 000, of which this $60, 000 would
be the first installment.
IV. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION
Failure to participate in the study may mean the loss of any
potential federal funding for channel improvements in these
areas.
