NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None. ------------------------------------------------------------------ SUBJECT: Criminal. Justice Minority Roundtable Appointments Supervisor Tom Powers presented the attached letter from Rudolph N. Webbe, Assistant Division Director, Adult Probation, relative to the Governor' s Office of Criminal. Justice Planning' s scheduled Criminal Justice Minority Roundtables. Mr. Webbe requested that he and Yosh Murakawa, Juvenile Probation, be appointed to serve on the Roundtable team from this area. Supervisor Robert Schroder suggested. that each Board.. member nominate two persons to serve on the Roundtable. Board .members being in agreement, IS IS ORDERED that Rudolph N. Webbe and Yosh Murakawa are APPOINTED to serve on the Criminal Justice Minority Roundtable representing District I. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that each Supervisor is REQUESTED to nominate two persons from his/her District to serve on the Roundtable. cc: Board Members Rudolph. The Roundtables combine the latest in topical and strategical information with teamwork and result in crime prevention action plans for community implementation. T4 Tee� 4H-1� ttendance at the Roundtables is by Team only. Each team is comprised of up to ten persons representing a cross section of the community, with an emphasis on minority representation.Teams should include local government officials and their designees, community agency and social service personnel, and representatives from criminal justice agencies, education, business, media, the religious community and the.minority community at large. The team approach recognizes that: effective crime prevention:is first and foremost a community. activity.
