BUCHANAN FIELD AIRPORT SIX MONTH COMPARATIVE COMPLAINT RECORD FOR JANUARY THROUGH JUNE OF YEARS 1984 THROUGH 1988 This Report summarizes the complaints for the' first half of years 1984 through 1988 . Complaints for 1988 averaged 73 complaints per month. The complaints associated only with Buchanan Field averaged 64 . 3 complaints per month. 2 . USAIR OPERATIONS OVER PLEASANT HILL AND CONCORD FOR PERIOD JANUARY 1, 1988 THROUGH JUNE 30 , 1988 This report breaks down the operations over Pleasant Hill and Concord into numerical and percentage values . Significant numbers for your consideration would be year- to-date landings and takeoffs percentage shown in the June section. This indicates that 4 . 75% of all USAir operations occurred over Pleasant Hill and 8189% of all operations occurred over Concord. The remaining 86 . 36% of the operations were over non-populated areas. 3 . COMPARISON OF USAIR COMPLAINTS TO TOTAL 1988 COMPLAINTS FOR PERIOD JANUARY 1, 1988 THROUGH JUNE 30 , 1988 ] This report specifically compares USAir related complaints to total complaints of the firstasix months of 1988 and provides a percentage of that total for your information. In 1987, the total complaints is shown strictly for comparison purposes . You will notice that the USAir complaints remain at a relatively constant number and at approximately 25% of the total complaints . 4 . CALLER COMPLAINT ANALYSIS FOR PERIOD JANUARY 1, 1988 THROUGH JUNE 30, 1988 a This report shows that there were 436 calls received from 140 different callers . The ten families thatd called the most often generated 49 .54% of our total complaints . ( In the previous six month report we presented to you, the ten families that called the most often generated 32 . 05% of our total complaints . ) The top 20 families generated 62 . 84% of our total complaints . (This compares with our previous report where the top 50 families generated 57 . 34% of our total complaints . ) We had 92 callers that called one time only. The Noise Study has been submitted to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) . It is anticipated that it Will be a minimum of six months before we receive comments back from the FAA. The Noise Ordinance has been reviewed and revised several times by the Aviation Advisory Committee. Of the 140 callers there were. 2 that called 4 times, 10 that called 3 times, 16 called 2 times, and 92 that called one time. Of the 436 complaints generated, 50 were not associated with Buchanan Field Airport.
