RESOLUTION NO. 88/591
SUBJECT: Consent to the Substitution of Subcontractor
for Sheriff Patrol and Investigation Building
1980 Muir Road
Martinez
Budget Line Item No. 0119-4214
Authorization No. 0928-WH214D
The Board, as agent of the Contra Costa County Public
Facilities Corporation, by an Order dated January 5, 1988, having
awarded a contract to Dickman-Nourse, Inc. , Mountain View,
California, for the Sheriff Patrol and Investigation Building, 1980
Muir Road, Martinez; and
The Contractor having listed in his bid the firm Tomax Building
Systems, Union City, - California, as the precast site wall
subcontractor; and
The Contractor having notified the Director of General -Services
that the listed subcontractor has refused to perform his
subcontract, and the Contractor having requested approval to
substitute another precast site wall subcontractor, J.L. Simpson
Masonry, Pleasanton, California; and
The Director of General Services, in accordance with the
requirements of California Government Code Title 1, Section 4107,
having given notice in writing to the listed subcontractor of the
prime contractor' s request; and
The listed subcontractor not having responded to the written
notification within the allowable time .period; and
The Director of General Services, having considered these
factors, recommends that the Board consent to the requested
substitution of subcontractor,
IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the recommendation of the
Director of General Services is hereby APPROVED.
