The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES
THAT:
In accordance with Government Code §66796 the Cities of
Antioch and Danville have designated the County Department of
Health Services as the sole enforcement agency for solid waste
laws and standards dealing with health and non-health related
matters.
The City of Antioch had by resolution designated the
County Department of Health Services as the enforcement agency
for health related matters only and designated the City
Planning Department as the enforcement agency for non-health
related matters. Government Code §66796 allows the designations
to be changed in the same manner as they were made. The City
of Antioch has changed the designations by Resolution Number
83/78.
Government Code §66796 requires each city and each county
to designate an enforcement agency for solid waste laws and
standards. The City of Danville has designated the County
Department of Health Services as the sole enforcement agency
by Resolution Number 56-83.
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County hereby
acknowledges and concurs in these designations.
The appropriate changes shall be made to the County Solid
Waste Management Plan.
The County Department of Health Services shall send a
copy of this resolution to the California Waste Management
Board.
