KELLOGG CREEK - CHANNEL WIDENING PROJECT
PROJECT NO. 7522-6D8500-88, BYRON AREA
Specific Request(s) or Recommendation(s) & Background &
Justification
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
AUTHORIZE the Chief Engineer to solicit bids pursuant to Section
21191 of the Public Contract Code and enter into a contract to
complete the Kellogg Creek - Channel Widening Project, not to
exceed $_26, 000.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The project costs, including engineering and appropriate overhead
charges, will be funded by Flood Control District Zone 2 .

REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONfBACKGROUND:
The plans and specifications were approved and the project
advertised for bids by the Board of Supervisors on July 19, 1988 .
The bid due date was August 18, 1988 and no bids were received.
In accordance with Section 22 of the Contra Costa County Flood
Control and Water Conservation District Act, . the District can
solicit and receive quotes for the .above project.
The Flood Control Zone 2 Advisory Board has recommended we
proceed with the project on an informal contract basis.
