In the Matter of Appointment
of Frances A. Ward to the position 88/4�g
of Deputy County Administrator
WHEREAS the County Administrator has interviewed qualified eligibles from the
open employment list for Deputy County Administrator (ADDG) and has selected
Frances A. Ward currently employed by Santa Barbara County for appointment to
an existing vacancy; and
WHEREAS it is in the best interest of the County and this appointee to
compensate for the loss of all sick leave accruals which will occur upon her
relocation from Santa Barbara County to Contra Costa County; therefore
The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors Resolves That Section 9.3 (Sick
Leave) of the County Salary Regulations and Section B4 (Sick Leave) of the
County Management Compensation Resolution No. 87/687 are amended so that
effective September 1, 1988 upon her appointment to the class of Deputy County
Administrator, Frances A. Ward will be credited with a total balance of 40
hours sick leave. . Thereafter, sick leave accruals will be at the rate of eight
(8) hours per month.
